The Whistler Bike Park

Maximize your Whistler Bike park experience

  • Creekside

Creekside is quickly becoming the locals favourite within the bike park. Earning a bit of a nickname as “The Creekside Gym” because of how physically demanding these trails can be, you’ll be worked after 3 or 4 laps.

Our Favourite Trails: Spin Gnar, Insomnia,

A serene landscape featuring a lake surrounded by rolling hills and tall mountains in the background. The sky is overcast with clouds.
  • Garbanzo

Want trails so long and technical that you won’t be able to feel your hands after a few laps? Head to Garbonzo. This is where you will find some of the best tech riding in the bike park.

Our favourite Trails: 7 Year War/ More, In Deep, Captain Safety, Original Sin

A small modern building on a grassy hillside with snow-capped mountains in the background under a cloudy sky.
  • Fitzsimmons

A Line. Need we say more? Aside from being the home to what might be the most famous trail in the world, the fitz zone is also home to well established tech and stunt trails, as well as a couple of very fun top to bottom routes.

    Our favourites:

Orient Express: Ninja Cougar → Karate Monkey → Samurai Pizza Cat → Ho-chi-min

Blue Line: Funshine Rolly Drops → Smoke and Mirrors → Bluseum → Wednesday Night Delight → Devils Club

  • Top of the world

More of a one-off experience than a true bike park lap - though there are people that have done it multiple times in one day. This is something that is worth doing at least once on your trip to Whistler. And, of course, this is one leg of the infamous whistler alpine triple crown.

Top Tips

  • Brake Bumps

These are an inevitable component of a high-traffic bike park.

Ride above or below the main line

Check the bolts on your bike

  • Preride. Reride. Freeride

This is a fun thing to joke about, but it also really good advice. There is nothing worse than ending up in the Whistler medical clinic after your first lap…

  • Line management

Ever since Fitz was upgraded to an 8pack, the lines have been significantly improved. They will still exist at peak times however - especially when not all lifts are open or operational. Enjoy the extra break for your hands - you’ll be back up there soon enough.
