Right at the bottom of Whistler Mountain, this hotel boasts arguably the best location in town. It can get pricey, but if you time it right, there are deals to be found throughout the year. The pool area is a standout, offering some of the best views from a hot tub you’ll find anywhere. Bonus points? The Dubh Linn Gate is located right in the lobby, making it one of the easiest commutes home after a classic Whistler apres session.

Often confused with its sister property (Mountainside), this one is tucked about a two-minute walk back into the village. It’s slightly quieter and generally feels a bit more residential. The suites are spacious, making it a solid pick for families or groups who need room to spread out gear. Check if your booking includes the daily breakfast buffet. In a town where a morning coffee and sandwich can run you $20, getting a solid breakfast included is a massive budget hack.

Location, location, location. Tucked right at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola, this is the closest you can get to the lifts, yet they still have ski valet... It feels like a fortress that separates you from the chaos of the village, while still being right in the heartbeat of it. All the rooms are suites with kitchenettes, which is a massive plus for saving a few bucks on breakfast. The only downside of this hotel is the hot tubs - they are really underwhelming for what this hotel is… The Westin is borderline on the luxury side of things, but if the price is right (which it sometimes is), it’s worth booking.

This is the boutique choice for people who think the main Village is too loud/busy/touristy. Located in Creekside, it sits right on the edge of Nita Lake and feels more like a modern mountain lodge than a hotel. It’s a short walk to the Creekside Gondola, but you are properly removed from the nightlife. The spa is a big favourite with the locals with it’s rooftop hot tubs and sauna.
